Like many of us growing up in India, my earliest memories of flavour came wrapped in shiny foil. Dairy Milk on birthdays, Ferrero during festivals, and the prized Toblerone from an uncle returning from abroad. Back then, anything imported felt aspirational. Anything local? An afterthought.

But that story was incomplete.

Years later, while pursuing my MBA in Paris, I discovered a new relationship with food. People there didn’t just consume it, they respected it. They talked about origins, producers, craft. Ingredients weren’t commodities; they were characters in a story.

Back in India, life took me through a few twists - corporate stints, consulting, and a front-row seat in grassroots distribution. A chance visit to a bakery expo turned into something more. That’s where I met passionate Indian makers - crafting exceptional ingredients, whether it was chocolate, jaggery, coffee or couverture right here in India. But they lacked visibility. While international brands ruled the kitchens, our own quietly waited for a spotlight.

And that’s when Bonvo was born.

Not just a platform for craft chocolate, but a purpose-driven brand built to showcase India’s finest ingredients, made by real people, from real places. From small-batch chocolatiers to sustainable coffee growers, we work with those who care about quality, process, and ethics. And we bring their work to chefs, bakers, creators and curious home cooks across India.

At Bonvo, we believe that what’s good doesn’t need to come from far away. It can be grown, crafted, and celebrated right here.
